Ik heb geen aandelen in deze race. Maar als je het terug brengt naar wat je per dag betaald obv solo inschrijving en ziet wat je ervoor krijgt. Dan zie je wel dat de kosten beslist hoger gaan zijn dan de inschrijffee. Het is natuurlijk geen evenement op 1 plek aan het strand. Je hebt veel meer infrastructuur nodig.
Absoluut gezien is het natuurlijk een stevig bedrag. Maar het is ook wel een gave tocht denk ik zo. Iedereen zal voor zich de keuze moeten maken. Vooral het slapen en verblijven met z'n allen op zo'n boot lijkt me gaaf.

Ik heb een tijd met Byron Kurt zitten praten over afgelopen jaar en met name dat is wat hij er ook zo super aan vond. Je bent als je ook op zo'n boot zit ook echt al die dagen met de heler club en het is dus meer dan alleen een (historische) race.

Dat is precies wat ik bedoel Roel, met een team betaal je 100 euro p.p. tegenover 250 euro solo.
(Je krijgt dus verhoudingsgewijs veel meer als een team...)

Duidelijk wat betreft de estafette (helaas).

Wil niet lullig doen maar eerlijk gezegd ziek ik het verschil tussen de solo kosten en de teamkosten nog niet zo......Je hebt enkel geen event sweater als je als team inschrijft (1 voor 5 personen) maar betaald wel 150 euro extra verhoudingsgewijs als je solo gaat (wat best wel veel geld is....zeker als je geen sponsor(s) hebt)

I am excited to announce that entries are open for participation of the SUP 11-City Tour 2010.

The event will take place from September 1 – 5. (Day of entry is the 31st of August).
I like to take the opportunity to give a brief overview in which categories you can participate, what the entry fees are and what options the organization SUP11-City Tour offers for accommodation and rental cars.


Solo competition: Like last year, stand up paddlers can participate “solo” and complete the 220 kilometers in 5 days in competition form. The competitors will battle for fastest paddler per day. These competitors also battle for overall champion (male, female and youth). The top 3 ranked in the overall rankings (male, female and youth) will receive price money. (Youth being; participants with the age 17 and younger)

Solo tour: This year, solo tour stand up paddlers, will also be able to enter. This “class” stems from the tradition of the ice-skating “Eleven city tour” which started 101 years ago. Every athlete (tour and competition) who will complete the 220 kilometers, linked together by 11 cities, will receive a medal of honor.

Teams: Also new this year is the ability to enter with a team: a total of 5 paddlers.
Each team member will paddle an entire day (about 45 kilometers) to keep the 11-City element (ultimate challenge) alive.


Entry fees:
€ 250 for solo participant (includes: event t-shirt, event jersey, lunches and dinners during the event, massages each day, event organization, usage of GPS tracking system) € 275 after 1st August 2010

€ 500 per team (includes: event t-shirts for all team members, 1 event jersey per team, lunches and dinners during the event for all team members, massage only for team member that paddles that day, event organization, usage 1 GPS tracking system per team) € 550 after 1st August 2010

Entry closes 15 August 2010


The organization SUP 11-City Tour offers participants the option to book their accommodation on ships that follow the tour. On board of these big authentic sailing ships, participants will experience Friesland in a unique way, while sharing “SUP 11-City Tour adventures” with fellow paddlers.
The organization has chosen this option as it makes logistics easy for participants. Once you step on board the 31st of August in start place Leeuwarden, you’ll find the ship with your belongings (shower and toilet) in each finish place. The ship – and the event -ends at the start from the event: in city Leeuwarden, so you don’t need a car during the event.

The costs are € 350, - pp (€ 70 euro per day) which includes 5 nights and breakfasts the following morning from August 31 – 5 September 2010. (Some ships offer an extra night – until 6 September – you can check this with the organization). It is recommended to book a spot on board in advance so the organization can book enough ships during the event.

Participants are off course free to organize their own Accommodation (camper van, hotel, B&B)
